Faced with the huge space of cascade utilization, companies have realized the business opportunities and are actively exploring the way. For example, Shanghai Xuda New Energy has implemented power battery cascade utilization energy storage projects in Shanghai, Jiangsu, Guangzhou and Zhejiang.
"The cost of energy storage systems for cascaded use of lithium batteries has now entered a new era of 1 yuan/Wh, and user-side energy storage applications have commercial promotion value." Li Jianduo, general manager of Shanghai Xuda New Energy, said in an interview with reporters. "In contrast The cost of energy storage for new batteries, such as lead-carbon battery system costs at 1.3 yuan-1.4 yuan/Wh, and lithium battery systems at 2 yuan/Wh. It can be seen that the cost advantage of cascading energy storage is obvious."
The viable business model of using energy storage cascades has mobilized the enthusiasm of enterprises to enter this field. During the interview, the reporter learned that many companies have set their sights on this.

"We are also vigorously exploring the cascade utilization of energy storage and making some technical reserves." Ganzhou Highpower Technology General Manager told reporters, "The cascade utilization market is a process of gradual cultivation, as the amount of scrap batteries of the same model continues to grow. It is believed that in 1-2 years, the economics of cascaded energy storage will be better reflected."
