Brief analysis of the technical bottleneck of power lithium battery pack
The key elements of the unsuccessful development of China's power vehicles are battery life, charging speed, and safety functions. These three elements are all caused by the failure of power lithium battery technology, so they can also be regarded as the three technical bottlenecks of power lithium battery packs.
1. Short endurance journey: As the technology continues to grow old, the endurance journey of electric vehicles with lithium batteries as the power source has increased from less than 100 kilometers initially to about 300 kilometers in the mainstream at that time, and the endurance journey of a single model has exceeded 400. kilometer. But there is still a certain distance compared to the 500-kilometer journey of the main stream of fuel vehicles. This question can be solved by multiple strings of single cells, but the negative question brought about is that the volume is too large, which makes it inconvenient for the car to travel.
Second, the charging speed is slow: Compared with the short journey, the slower charging of the lithium battery pack is a greater restriction on the development of electric vehicles. At normal speeds, the power lithium battery of electric vehicles is fully in demand for 4 to 8 hours. There are also agile rechargeable lithium batteries, which can be filled in 1 to 2 hours, but their negative impact is extremely large, the life span will be reduced to 1/3 of the original, and the battery function will be significantly reduced. There are no such doubts for fuel vehicles, and the refueling time does not exceed 5 minutes, and safety and stability can be guaranteed.
3. Safety functions to be improved: Since the birth of lithium battery packs, safety questions have always confused consumers. From mobile phones and laptops to electric cars nowadays, safety accidents continue to occur. Except for the electric vehicles of Nissan and Tesla that have not yet been reported on fire, the electric vehicles of Zotye and BYD in China, GM and Fisker in the United States all have spontaneous combustion or fire.
