　　(2) If conditions permit, a gel battery tester should be used for testing. Some colloidal batteries need to be charged after long-term storage. Although the voltage between the positive and negative electrodes is higher than 12V, the phenomenon of virtual power often appears. .

　　(3) Put the new gel battery in the installation position and fix it. For the gel battery with exhaust pipe, don't forget to remove the exhaust pipe connector from the old gel battery and install it on the new gel battery.

　　(4) When connecting the gel battery, connect the positive pole first, and then the negative pole.

　　(5) Check whether the tightening is fast, and the external power supply can be removed. Start the engine and check the generator voltage, which can be measured at the generator output terminal or the gel storage battery terminal.

　　(6) For vehicles that replace colloidal batteries due to discharge failure, check the sleep current of the vehicle. The traditional method is to put the multimeter in the current block, and then connect it in series with the negative wire of the gel battery, turn off the ignition switch, activate the anti-theft system, and let it stand for a period of time until the current stabilizes.

　　(7) For vehicles equipped with a power management system, the sensor is installed on the negative line. Such vehicles can only use clamp ammeters and other equipment for current testing.

　　(8) After replacing the gel battery, the diagnostic instrument should also be used to clear the related fault code recorded in the system. For vehicles equipped with power management systems, such as Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Audi, etc., it is also necessary to enter a new gel battery model in the power management system and reset the system.
