  The rise of new energy has caused qualitative changes in many industries. Take the common electric bicycle batteries in our lives as a comparison. Before, lead-acid batteries have always been the best choice for electric vehicles, but everyone knows that lead-acid batteries are more polluting. Seriously, it runs counter to the concept of green and environmental protection pursued by modern people. Lithium batteries are slowly appearing in everyone’s field of vision. Because lithium batteries are relatively environmentally friendly and have a large cycle performance, there is a trend towards full lead-acid batteries, followed by power lithium The application range of batteries is becoming wider and wider, and they are gradually being used in the automotive field. However, the three factors of cruising range, charging speed and safety performance have become the three technical difficulties of power lithium batteries.

  1. Short cruising range: With the continuous maturity of technology, the cruising range of electric vehicles with lithium batteries as the power source has increased from less than 100 kilometers at the beginning to the current mainstream of about 300 kilometers, and the cruising range of individual models has exceeded 400 kilometers. . However, compared with the current mainstream mileage of 500 kilometers of fuel vehicles, there is still a certain gap. This problem can be solved by multiple strings of single cells, but the negative problem brought about is that the volume is too large, which increases the inconvenience of the car.

  Second, the charging speed is slow: Compared with the short driving range, the slow charging of the power lithium battery is a greater restriction on the development of electric vehicles. At normal speed, it takes 4 to 8 hours to fully charge the power lithium battery of an electric vehicle. There are also fast-charging lithium batteries, which can be fully charged within 1 to 2 hours, but their negative effects are extremely large, their lifespan will be drastically reduced to 1/3 of the original, and battery performance will drop significantly. Fuel vehicles do not have these problems, and the refueling time does not exceed 5 minutes, and safety and stability can be guaranteed.

  3. Safety performance needs to be improved: Since the birth of lithium-ion batteries, safety issues have been plagued by consumers.

Because power lithium batteries have good cycle performance, long life, green environmental protection and large energy, they will definitely become the mainstream of the automotive battery industry.
