Almost all integrated solar street lights now use lithium batteries. What is the reason?
1. Lithium battery has strong temperature adaptability
The heat dissipation effect of the battery compartment of the integrated solar street lamp is not good enough. If the lead-acid battery or Ni-MH battery is used in high temperature weather all year round, it may be scrapped in less than a year. The temperature adaptability of lithium battery is very strong, it can work normally in the environment of -20℃--60℃.
2. Lithium batteries are smarter
Many lithium batteries can be installed with the BMS management system, and the battery status can be checked on the mobile phone in real time. If an abnormal situation occurs, the BMS system can automatically adjust.
3. Lithium iron phosphate battery is safer
Integrated solar street lights generally use lithium iron phosphate batteries, which completely solve the potential safety hazards of lithium cobalt oxide and lithium manganese oxide.
4. Lithium battery is environmentally friendly and pollution-free
Compared with lead-acid batteries, lithium batteries are pollution-free during production and use, and comply with European RoHS regulations.
5. Long service life
Lithium batteries, especially lithium iron phosphate batteries, have a much longer service life than lead-acid batteries. The cycle life of lithium iron phosphate batteries is 2000-4000 times, but traditional lead-acid batteries have only 500-900 times.
The reason why lithium batteries can quickly occupy the solar street lamp market is mostly due to the above five reasons.
Lithium-ion battery (LIB) has become the main energy storage solution in modern social life. Among them, lithium iron phosphate batteries are a perfect substitute for lead-acid batteries, and are the first choice for grid-connected peak shaving, off-grid energy storage, photovoltaic energy storage, UPS, data centers and other industries.
