The production process of polycrystalline silicon solar panels is similar to that of monocrystalline silicon solar panels. Its photoelectric conversion efficiency is about 20%, which is slightly lower than that of monocrystalline silicon solar cells. However, the material is easy to manufacture, saves power consumption, and has a lower total production cost. So, it has been developed a lot.

3. Amorphous silicon solar cells
It is completely different from the manufacturing method of crystalline silicon solar cells. The silicon material consumption is very small and the power consumption is lower. It is very thin and can be made into a laminated type or manufactured by an integrated circuit method to make multiple batteries in series at a time to obtain a higher voltage. At present, the photoelectric conversion efficiency of amorphous silicon solar cells is low, and the international advanced level is about 12%.
