　　A few days ago, Premier Li Keqiang, accompanied by Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, visited Toyota Motor’s Hokkaido plant. Hydrogen fuel cell vehicles were one of the projects visited.

　　The "Outline of the National Innovation-Driven Development Strategy" issued by the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the State Council also pointed out that they would "develop a new generation of energy technologies such as hydrogen energy and fuel cells."

　　It pointed out that the electric vehicle technology plan specifically deploys the development of fuel cell vehicles, and plans to increase R&D and investment in three aspects: key basic devices, fuel cell systems, infrastructure and demonstration.

　　In addition, with regard to the new energy vehicle subsidy policy, China will continue to maintain the fuel cell vehicle subsidy unchanged when the subsidy decline accelerates in 2018.

　　Developers, fuel cells have always been regarded as one of the key areas. On May 7, in the 2018 annual project announcement list of the Ministry of Science and Technology "New Energy Vehicles" special project, it allocated 260 million funds to five enterprises/institutions including Dongfeng, Yutong, China Automobile Center, BAIC, and Tsinghua University. "Fuel cell vehicle R&D and demonstration application" research, the project period is 3 years.
