  PV power generation uses solar cells to directly convert solar energy into electrical energy based on the PV effect. The power generation system is a complete power generation system based on this principle.

  PV power generation systems usually have two forms, one is an independent power generation system, and the other is a non-independent PV power generation system, also known as a networked system or a grid-connected system.

  The stand-alone PV power generation system includes two types: inverter PV power generation system (AC load) and non-inverter power generation system (DC load).

  Non-independent PV power generation systems are divided into two types: energy storage inverter grid-connected and non-energy storage inverter grid-connected according to whether they have energy storage devices.

  Whether it is an independent power generation system or a grid-connected power generation system, PV power generation systems are composed of three parts: solar cells (components), controllers and inverters. Since these three parts are mainly composed of electronic components and do not involve mechanical parts, PV power generation equipment is extremely refined, reliable and stable, and has a long life span, and is easy to install and maintain.

  The most basic components of solar PV modules are solar cells (plates), including monocrystalline silicon, polycrystalline silicon, amorphous silicon and thin-film cells. At present, single crystal and polycrystalline batteries are used the most, and amorphous batteries are used in some small systems and auxiliary power supplies for computers. Solar panels composed of one or more solar cells are called PV modules.
