There is no doubt that the current owners of electric vehicles have battery life anxiety, in addition to the insufficient number of charging stations, but also related to excessive charging time.
Currently, it takes 30-60 minutes to charge an electric car, even with fast charging, while for those traveling long distances, it takes about 1 hour to charge, plus the waiting time to charge, it takes even longer than the driving itself.
So, if the battery can be fully charged in 15 minutes, presumably many friends will also greatly change the attitude of electric vehicles, such charging time, after all, is already close to the fuel car refueling time.
The company announced the launch of the world’s fastest electric car, the Terra360, according to a statement on its website.
According to ABB, the TERRA360 charger is theoretically capable of recharging an electric car in 15 minutes, providing 100 kilometers of range in less than three minutes, and its new charger has a maximum output of 360 kw.
The TERRA360 is a modular charger that can charge up to four electric vehicles simultaneously through dynamic power distribution, saving space at charging stations.
The TERRA360 is expected to be launched in Europe at the end of 2021 and in Asia Pacific in 2022, it said.
Even Tesla’s V3 supercharger currently has a peak charging power of around 250KW, while the Terra360 goes straight to 360kW. As a result, if the plug-in goes on sale and is adapted for different brands of vehicles, it will be widely welcomed.
Lithium-ion battery has become a major energy storage solution in modern life. Among them, lithium iron phosphate battery is the perfect substitute for lead-acid battery, and is the first choice for peak-shaving, off-grid energy storage, photovoltaic energy storage, UPS, data center and other industries.
