Lithium batteries need to go through PACK to become a lithium battery pack, so what does lithium battery PACK mean and why is it important?
1. What does lithium battery PACK mean?
The process of assembling the cells into a combination is called PACK, which can be a single battery or a series-parallel lithium battery pack.
PACK includes batteries, bus bars, flexible connections, PCM or BMS, outer packaging, output (including connectors), barley paper, plastic brackets and other auxiliary materials.
The focus of PACK is the overall structure design, optimization of the processing process, thermal management, BMS active thermal management system, battery cell matching and other issues.
2. The importance of lithium battery PACK
The use of a single battery cell cannot meet the real needs of most customers. At this time, PACK is required. PACK is a very important part of the lithium battery industry, because only through PACK can the final manufacturing meet the different needs of different customers.
For example, the following points:
(1) PACK requires electric cells to have a high degree of consistency (capacity, internal resistance, voltage, discharge curve, life).
(2) According to customer needs, the lithium battery packs from PACK are used under limited conditions (including charging, discharging current, charging method, temperature, etc.).
(3) The lithium battery pack after PACK must meet the voltage and capacity requirements of the design.
Lithium-ion battery (LIB) has become the main energy storage solution in modern social life. Among them, lithium iron phosphate batteries are a perfect replacement for lead-acid batteries, and are the first choice for grid-connected peak shaving, off-grid energy storage, photovoltaic energy storage, UPS, data centers and other industries;
