In many occasions, lithium battery + inverter is a common combination, which can provide customers with qualified AC power when there is no grid power supply.
An inverter is a device that converts DC power into AC power (usually 220V, 50Hz sine wave). It is composed of inverter bridge, control logic and filter circuit.
The combination of lithium battery, inverter, and charger is equivalent to a backup UPS. Under normal circumstances, the mains power is directly output through the inverter, and when the mains power is interrupted, the DC output of the battery is changed to AC output after the inverter works.
Generally, the inverter does not have a charging function, and a charger must be connected separately. Of course, there are also high-end inverters with charging function on the market.
The advantage of this simple UPS system is that it can be flexibly matched and used, but the disadvantage is that it cannot achieve online high-speed switching, which is likely to cause shocks.
Some less demanding equipment or occasions that are not sensitive to power interruption time can use this simple form of UPS system.
Lithium-ion battery (LIB) has become the main energy storage solution in modern social life. Among them, lithium iron phosphate batteries are a perfect replacement for lead-acid batteries, and they are the first choice for grid-connected peak shaving, off-grid energy storage, photovoltaic energy storage, UPS, data center and other industries.
