The consistency of the battery cell is the key factor affecting the lithium battery PACK, so what does the consistency of the lithium battery mean?
The cell voltage and capacity of a single lithium battery are too low. Generally, multiple cells need to pass through the PACK to become a lithium battery pack, and then be applied to different occasions.
The consistency of lithium batteries refers to the convergence of the important characteristic parameters of the cells that make up the lithium battery pack, and generally refers to the degree of consistency of capacity, internal resistance, weight, charge and discharge curves, etc.
The difference in the initial consistency of lithium batteries will cause greater differences in the states (SOC, SOH, voltage, capacity, etc.) of the individual cells as the number of battery usage increases. This is called the inconsistency of lithium batteries.
How to improve the consistency of lithium battery packs?
First: Cell sorting
Different batches of batteries cannot be used together. Cells of the same batch also need to be screened, and cells with relatively concentrated parameters are placed in a lithium battery pack.
Second: Thermal Management
The thermal management system can adjust the temperature difference within the entire lithium battery pack to keep it in a small range and reduce the temperature difference impact on each battery cell.
Third: Battery balance management:
The battery management system BMS needs to be designed with a balancing function. When a battery is overcharged or overdischarged, the battery will be charged or discharged in a targeted manner.
Fourth: a good use environment
Try to ensure a constant temperature, reduce vibration, and ensure that no water, dust, etc. pollute the outside and inside of the battery.
Fifth: Energy Management Strategy
Minimize the depth of battery discharge as much as possible while avoiding overcharging of the battery.
