The composition and key points of home off-grid photovoltaic power generation system
The home off-grid photovoltaic power generation system is a very suitable solution for some areas with severe or no electricity.
The home off-grid photovoltaic power generation system is mainly composed of solar panels, solar controllers, energy storage batteries and AC and DC inverters as its main components. The key points are energy storage batteries and controllers.
The role of each component in the system is:
1. Solar Panel
Solar panels are the core components of solar power generation systems. Its function is to convert the sun's radiant power into electrical energy, or send it to energy storage batteries for storage, or to drive the load to work.
2. Solar Controller
The role of the solar controller is to control the working status of the entire system, and to protect the energy storage battery from overcharging and over-discharging. In places with large temperature differences, a qualified controller should also have the function of temperature compensation. Other additional functions such as light control switch, time control switch, DC output, etc. should be optional options of the controller.
3. Energy storage battery
Generally, it is a lithium battery. In small and micro systems, lead-acid batteries, nickel-hydrogen batteries, and nickel-cadmium batteries can also be used. Its function is to store the electrical energy generated by the solar panel when there is light, and then release it when needed. The energy size of the energy storage battery needs to be configured according to the actual power of the solar panel. If it is too small, it will waste the electricity generated by the solar panel. If it is too large, it will not have enough electricity for storage and waste the capacity of the battery.
4. Inverter
The direct output of the energy storage system is generally 12VDC, 24VDC, 48VDC. In order to provide electrical energy to 110AC/220VAC electrical appliances, the DC power generated by the solar power generation system needs to be converted into AC power, so a DC-AC inverter is required.
