  What are the common problems of lithium battery packs?

  1. The battery cannot be charged

  The battery cannot be charged during charging, which can be divided into the following reasons: the charger is connected reversely or the charger is faulty; the protection board protection is not reset or the protection board fails; the battery is disconnected from the outside of the appliance.

  2. The battery cannot be discharged.

  The battery pack cannot be discharged normally during use. There are several reasons: the battery pack voltage is low, the protection board is protected, or the controller is protected; the protection board or the controller is damaged; the positive and negative discharge polarity is reversed; the circuit is disconnected or the switch is not turned on.

  3. The battery cannot be fully charged.

  During the battery cycle, charging is stopped before the voltage of the entire battery pack is cut off. This situation is caused by the inconsistent capacity or capacity of a single string of the battery pack. The first full charge or full charge of the battery pack is protected by a protective plate, so that the batteries in other strings are not fully charged and the charging process stops.

  4. The cruising range is short.

  The battery consumes very quickly during use. The reasons for this situation are: the battery is not fully charged; the voltage capacity of a single string changes greatly; the battery is short-circuited or the battery is self-discharged, causing the battery to be exhausted.

  5. Low battery pack

  The voltage of the entire battery pack is only half of the nominal voltage or negative voltage. This situation generally occurs when a newly assembled battery pack is because the battery pack is incorrectly connected, the positive and negative poles are reversed, or a single battery is not fully connected. It is normal when the battery pack is fully charged, but it will become low immediately after being idle or used for a period of time. This situation may be caused by a large battery self-discharge or a small short-circuit of the battery.

  6. The battery temperature is high.

  The temperature of the battery pack is abnormally hot during charging or discharging. This situation may be due to the presence of high internal resistance batteries in the battery pack or a micro-short circuit of the battery pack, which causes the temperature of the battery pack to rise during the charging and discharging process. Long-term high temperature operation of the battery pack is very dangerous. In this case, the faulty battery must be replaced or the micro short circuit must be repaired.
