NHOA plans to deploy €10 billion of energy storage projects by 2025

　　New Horizons Ahead (NHOA) recently announced that it has won a contract to deploy a 200MWh battery energy storage system in Australia. The company's predecessor was Engie EPS.

　　NHOA said in a press release issued a few days ago that it had signed an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) partner contract earlier this month, and it is expected that more details of the project will be announced soon. At present, the total energy storage capacity of stationary battery energy storage projects developed by NHOA in the United States, Europe, Africa and the Asia-Pacific region amounts to 924MWh.

　　The company recently released its 2021 semi-annual financial results, an increase of 28% from the data released in September. NHOA now has 225 million euros (US$266.9 million) in cumulative contracts, an increase of 51% compared to the first half of 2021.

　　The company was established after TCC acquired a majority stake in Engie EPS earlier this year. Before the announcement of the project, NHOA stated that it is expected to achieve its revenue targets for 2021 and 2022. NHOA is still headquartered in Italy, and plans to become a strong energy storage manufacturer.

　　NHOA announced in July the "10X Master Plan", which aims to increase the company's scale tenfold by 2025; from 2015 to 2021, the total installed capacity of 170MWh energy storage system will be increased to 1.7GWh in 2025.
