The most common UPS batteries on the market are lithium batteries and lead-acid batteries, but the prices are far apart. How do you think about the price difference between lithium batteries and lead-acid batteries in UPS applications?

　　1) Lithium batteries are composed of lithium alloy metal oxides, graphite, and electrolytes of non-aqueous electrolyte materials.

　　2) Lead-acid batteries are composed of lead and its oxides and sulfuric acid solution contained in electrolyte.

　　3) Among these constituent materials, the price of lithium alloy metal oxide is more expensive than that of lead and its oxide.

　　Battery processing cost

　　1) The production process of lithium batteries is complicated, and there are greater requirements for the machine and the production environment.

　　2) The process of lead-acid batteries is simple, and the requirements for the production environment and equipment are not as high as those of lithium batteries.

　　On the surface, lead-acid batteries are much cheaper than lithium iron phosphate batteries, so is the total cost of use also cheaper? But it is not the case:

　　The cycle life of lead-acid batteries is about 350 times, and generally can only be used for 1-2 years. Lead-acid batteries have a memory effect, battery capacity is limited, and environmental pollution problems. Most countries impose related taxes on lead-acid batteries.

　　The number of cycles of lithium-ion batteries is about 800, especially lithium iron phosphate can reach 3000-4000 times, and the average life span is about 4 years. The volume of the lithium battery is 2/3 of the lead-acid battery, and the weight is about 1/3 of the lead-acid battery. The use of lithium batteries has no memory effect, no environmental pollution problems, and no import tax problems.
