The principle of solar cells and two power generation methods
Solar cells, also known as "solar chips" or "photovoltaic cells", are photoelectric semiconductor sheets that use sunlight to directly generate electricity. As long as it is exposed to light that meets certain illuminance conditions, it can instantly output voltage and generate current when there is a loop. In physics, it is called Photovoltaic, abbreviated as PV.
The principle of power generation of solar cells is: when the sun shines on the semiconductor p-n junction, a new hole-electron pair is formed. Under the action of the built-in electric field of the p-n junction, the photo-generated holes flow to the p zone, and the photo-generated electrons flow to the n zone and turn on. Electric current is generated after the circuit.
There are two ways for solar cells to convert light energy into electrical energy, one is through the photoelectric effect, and the other is the photochemical effect. Crystalline silicon solar cells that work on the principle of photoelectric effect are the mainstream, while thin-film solar cells that work on the principle of photochemical effect are still in their infancy.
Lithium-ion battery (LIB) has become the main energy storage solution in modern social life. Among them, lithium iron phosphate batteries are a perfect replacement for lead-acid batteries, and they are the first choice for grid-connected peak shaving, off-grid energy storage, photovoltaic energy storage, UPS, data center and other industries.
Solar power generation system with lithium battery energy storage system is a very promising clean energy.
